I'm a Giant

I am enjoying my relaxing and preparing to run 13 miles tomorrow. I need fresh, happy legs for my practice half marathon (almost) tomorrow. I like to run this 2 weeks before the actual race. It gives me the confidence that I need (or tells me what I need to work on in the next 2 weeks). I will be running on a new trail, the the new surroundings will be nice. It's also next to the river, so hopefully that will be nice, too.

I finished up the black bean burgers last night (along with some mac and cheese...I know). For dessert, I had some homemade granola. I like to chop it up in small squares and eat it in a very small bowl. It makes me feel like a giant.

I went grocery shopping last night and I had been dreading it all day. When I got there, barely anyone was there. When I went to be checked out, there was absolutely no wait. It was the prefect time to go to the store!

What are your plans for this long, hot weekend?

  1. Good luck on your run tomorrow! I too like to do 13-14 miles two weeks before a HM. It's a good confidence booster for the distance.

    I am racing Monday, a sprint duathlon. Eek!
