I ran 5 miles today without any pain!!! YAY!!! I also worked my legs with weights (a daily exercise). I feel so good. I can't even tell that I ran a half marathon 4 days ago. I think that's a good thing?? I love how I feel. Yesterday, I even upped my legs weights. I know that is good. I am still trying to find an extra 3 hours in my week for my new training schedule (which starts in about 10 days or so).
When I got home, I started cooking pasta for dinner. I love pasta (what runner doesn't)!!
Here it is! It may not look appetizing, but it was pretty good. In this mess is tri colored spiral pasta, miracle whip, salsa, taco seasoning mix, olives, shredded cheddar cheese and shredded cooked chicken. Who knew this mixture would taste good (I did get it from a recipe).
I'm trying to stop eating past about 8 pm. This used to be hard to do, because my husband wouldn't get home from work until 7:30, but the schedule he's on now has him home no later than a little past six, which is much more convenient for eating dinner at a decent time.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, pasta is amazing. We are big pasta lovers in this house!
Somehow, the messy-looking pastas always end up tasting the best!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty bad at eat late at night. I often have a snack around 9 or so, and I go to bed around 11--not ideal.

That lemon bar looks AMAZING!!! I am so so happy for NO PAIN!!!! I eat late if I am awake ha!! Oh, pasta always sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to have a snack before bed. It's some weird subconscious thing where I know I won't be eating for 8 hours and I freak out and think I'll be hungry all night if I don't eat something.
ReplyDeleteI have zero quarrels eating moments before nodding off to sleep. I know if I go to bed without enough food I'll just wake up because I get hungry. Plus, I've never worried about weight, so the whole "don't eat two hours before bed" thing never made sense to me.
