New Training Plan, Sweating Buckets & Dinner

Last night's workout was a killer. I was sweating so much. I started with my 5k, then headed over to the weight section of the gym. When I was on the bench press, my legs got stuck to the rubber of the machine. It was sopping wet, but hurt when I tried to peel myself off. After this hour workout, I still had an hour ripped class left for the night. Ripped always goes by so fast! Almost too fast! We jammed through the class, we were able to go through a quick ab routine. When I got home, I desperately needed a shower to wash off all my salt. It felt great once I was clean.

Dinner is such an important part of training. My dinners may not always be the best choice (healthy wise), but they always taste great! This week, I've been eating chicken in a basil cream sauce. So good! So not healthy for you!! I had it with garlic toast and green beans.

Now, for what you've been waiting for...my new training plan:

I've noticed that some things didn't work with the time/schedule I already have. I don't want to wake up before the sun (except Saturdays) to workout. I still want a life and train at the same time. Last year, I didn't have a life and didn't get to spend a lot of time with Jason. I think falling asleep at 7:30pm will not work for me this year.

Monday: 5k on tm (too dark, right now, outside), leg weights and 60 minute ripped class
Tuesday: 20 minutes (minimum) on stairs and 60 minute yoga class
Wednesday: 5k (on tm once again), leg weights, and 60 minute spin class
Thursday: long run (I'm starting at 5.5 miles since I'm so out of shape)
Friday: REST
Saturday: 5k + outside with friend
Sunday: REST

What's your dinner looking like? Are they always healthy? Do you ever change your training after you've started it?

New Training Plan

I have a new training schedule that I will be starting on November 3rd. My newest half marathon (#4) is Lucky 7. It takes place on March 9th and I'm totally excited!! I can't wait!! I haven't run a half marathon in over a year (I have run other races since). So, my new training plan looks like this:

Monday nights, I will run a 5k (inside on tm or preferably outside),

then head over to my ripped class that I  love so much (which happens to work out of the hell out of my arms).

Tuesdays, I will work a minium of 20 minutes on the stairs (and I will grow to love them again),

then an hour of yoga. After yoga, I will work my legs on in the weight section of the gym.

Wednesday, is time for another 5k, and a 60 minute spin class, head home for at least 20 minutes of core work.

One of my favorite things I've been eating is greek yogurt. My favorite flavor is blueberry or cherry.

I can already feel the work that I've been doing. When I get home and get my things done for the next day, I relax on the couch with the kittens.

One of my greatest desserts of the week was a non-ice cream banana split. It includes: a split banana, peanut butter, chocolate syrup and chopped almonds.

When is you next race? What does your training plan look like? What is your "go to"snack, or dessert lately?

New Training Schedule

I've been thinking A LOT!! I want to improve my time for my next half marathon. I want to get even closer to 2 hours. I don't think I'm ready for under 2 hours, just closer. This is what I have in my living room right as I walk in the house. It inspires me to be focused and want to be better at what I love to do.

So, I came up with a temporary new training schedule. After the first week, I will see what needs to be changed / added.

This reads:

Sunday: Rest

Monday: 5k (speed), 60 minute spin class, leg weights

Tuesday: Long run (starting at 6 miles and adding 1 mile per week), 30 minutes stairs

Wednesday: 5k (sprints), 60 minute spin class, leg weights

Thursday: 6 mile run, leg weights, 30 minute elliptical, arm weights, mat work (core)

Friday: Rest

Saturday: run to gym (5.3 miles round trip), leg weights, arm weights, mat work (core)

The white board is what is schedule and the paper on it gets written of what I actually did.

This new schedule will start on the 16th. I can't wait. I'm pretty excited!! I will be tired all the time and always hungry. I will feed myself with lots of veggies and healthy items. I will still indulge in sweets and beer. I will just control how much stuff I eat.

How is your training schedule? Are you always tired and hungry? What inspires you?
