Another Way to Workout & a Million Peaches for $5

I had a very busy and productive weekend. On Saturday morning, I got up nice and early to acquire some rocks for our backyard rock wall. I think we will have enough rocks to do what we need to do. Another great workout is to carry every rock by hand, up a hill, many, many times. You will work up a sweat in no time, especially when it's 93 outside and in direct sun.

On Sunday, we went to this farmers market farm. They had over 100 acres and everything was open to the public. They were celebrating their 100 year anniversary. They had bags that you could fill up and high as you wanted and pick your own peaches, and they were only $5.

I've never picked my own fruit before. I think I got a little possessive after hand picking them. They're my precious.

At the farm, they also had alpacas. This is the baby eating it's lunch. They are so soft. I'm glad they had they're winter coats shaved! It's it cute! It posed just for me!

The view was pretty nice too! Some people may think that everywhere in California has palm trees everywhere. It's mostly a SoCal thing, not too much in the valley. But, what a view!

I made some awesome cupcakes over the weekend, too! I used this recipe for the cake and this recipe for the frosting. It's the perfect cupcake! I'm going to make these for Jason's birthday party in September.

For dinner last night, I made some awesome salmon with home grown ingredients. I used fresh from the vine tomatoes and freshly picked oregano and farmers market bought garlic.

I just realized that I haven't been posting my dinners lately, so you're going to see a lot more of those, very soon!

How was your weekend? What kind of cupcakes do you like? How often do you eat fish?

Sprints All Day Long

I had 5k sprints, 60 minute spin class and leg weights on the schedule for this afternoon. I ran my sprints .15 on and .05 off in 24.59 minutes. I am so freaking excited about how fast I am getting!!! My spin class was great I love this instructor as well as my Monday night instructor. He really kicked out asses!! I think I did sprints all day long. Lots and lots of sprints today!! I guess its a good thing I love them. Maybe not so much after today. I skipped the weights because I had more important things to do afterwards.

When I got home, I had a snack of 3 chopped strawberries. I love fresh fruit (from stands), they are so sweet!

Dinner was left over spaghetti with a little cheese (on a salad plate, so I will eat less, but still be full).

And, the best part of the day...dessert. I had made mini vanilla cupcakes with buttercream chocolate frosting. I took 3 bites out of this thing and it was gone. But, it was worth every bite!

So, Jason had a little accident last night with the camera, so we're off to buy a new one. Gotta go!

What type of camera do you have? I have Panasonic.

Laziness is Happiness

Last night was a lot of fun. We had our friends over for dinner. I made salads and chili. They brought over the best homemade chocolate cupcakes with PB frosting. They left us some and I'm trying to hold out as long as I can to eat them all.

We played Balderdash, drank and had a ton of laughs.

Here are the hubby's being their funny selves.

Us girls are a little more serious.

I've just been getting things ready for the week and relaxing. I guess I needed to sleep in. We woke up around 10. I haven't slept in that long in such a long time. I feel completely refreshed!
I must eat these cupcakes before they go bad. I hate wasting good food.
