Taste Changes as You Get Older

Another busy little day. I was running around work like a chicken with it's head cut off. It was pretty crazy. Still not enough time in one day. I still managed to have my good food. I had my regular cereal, I finished off my dried cherries and had an apple a few hours later. Same ol lunch. I wasn't too hungry when I got home. I just ate dinner a little bit ago. I think my stomach was keeping full from all the water I've been drinking.

I've been thinking about dinner all day. I was so excited to try my chicken I baked last night. When I got home, had some things waiting for me. Stacey, at Stacey's Organic Tortillas was kind enough to supply some organic tortillas for me to try. They were amazing! Something else, I had was Tribe Hummus. I haven't always been a hummus kind of girl. What I've been noticing, is that my taste has been changing (for the better) the older I get. The hummus was very smooth and creamy.

The first thing I did was lay the whole wheat tortilla on the plate.

Then, I spread a nice layer of hummus on top.

I then topped that with some home grown tomatoes, my chicken from last night and some fresh mixed greens. I folded up the tortilla up like a burrito.

This dinner makes it to one of my favorite home made summer meals. It's quick, easy and cool (especially if you cook the chicken ahead of time). Top 50!
Today was a rest day for me. No workout. When I got home, I took a nap. I never take naps (I never have time to). It was so nice! My hubby is on his way home, and I'm going to fix a yummy wrap for him and see what he thinks. I think he'll love it!
Any fun plans this weekend? I'm going to a BBQ at my parents tomorrow (for an early birthday). And, Sunday is completely relaxing (besides my working out all weekend). Have a great weekend.

  1. This looks great. I have been smearing hummus on everything lately. The roasted pepper hummus goes great on an egg and spinach wrap. Thanks for posting.
