Breakfast for Dinner!!

This morning, I took another day off from working out. No gym, no run, no nothing. It's been a sucky weekend, so I just wanted to spend time with my hubby. I was able to sleep in until 11am. I haven't slept that late since before I started training (11 weeks ago). I was so well rested and ready to start my day.

When we got up, Jason made me coffee and I prepped my standard mixed cereal. I poured up a cup of coffee and we relaxed while we watch a show on the DVR. We shared one of Betty Lou's fruit bars. It was cherry flavor and very good. The flavor was great, just a little too sugary for first thing in the morning.

Here's all the information. I wold defiantly eat more of these in the afternoon.

Once I woke up a little more, I started to get ready for my girls night. The theme was "breakfast for Dinner". I love those nights. I was supplying french toast and home made jam. We always have so much food. Too much food. Great food. Here's what was brought:

We had muffins, lots of pastries, fruit salad, cheesy hashbrowns, bacon and all the toppings. I am so full. I couldn't stay away from the cheesy hashbrowns. That's fine, I'm working out tomorrow. I really need to go brush my teeth.
With the bacon, I baked it, not fried. So much easier and less mess. I don't want to get burned up with grease flying around while I have guests here. It was prefect. I cooked the bacon while I was making the french toast. I can't wait until next month!!

To answer some questions: I don't really have a favorite type of bread. It depends on what I'm eating and of course the cost. I'm on an extremely tight budget right now. I got the sough dough last night because I was at Boudin's which is "famous" for their sough dough. It went great with the red wine. Thinking back on it, and it seems like I usually end up getting sough dough. I do make my own breads, too. I'm thinking of making my rosemary focaccia bread sometime soon. It's so easy and so good. My beer bread is pretty good too. And, of course, you have all the "breakfast" type of breads like zucchini, and banana nut. I love all those. I LOVE carbs, so breads are my friends!!

Do you ever have breakfast for dinner? What's your favorite to have?
