Squooshi review

A little while back (I really like to test out the products), the awesome people at squooshi sent me a great package. It had so many goodies in it.

Lars loves, what we call, squeezies: smoothies in a squeeze pouch. I've been buying them, but I prefer to make as much as I can from scratch. Squooshi has made that possible for me. Shane can also start to eat them too. But, I've been concerned about his gums in the hard plastic nozzle. Here's the solution:

It's a soft material that won't hurt the little mans gums! He loves chewing on it!

I love the cleaning brushes they sent! They make cleaning the bags so easy!

Of course, Lars loves them (the truly important part)! I have so many flavors I can't wait for him (& Shane) to try!

The bags are very easy to fill! They don't leak, explode or anything. The only complaint I would have is that they don't sit upright (which makes sense, since you fill it at the bottom). Lars set it down (on its side, one time and I didn't know it. Almost the entire (1/4 filled was left) slowly came out. We were outside, so it wasn't a big deal.

Another handy item they sell are their zip pouches. I keep at least one in my baby bag whenever we go out. They're great to store the boys' snacks. They are so easy to use, open and close!

Squooshi is making this mommy's life a little easier! Thank you so much for letting us try out your awesome products!!

Snack Time

I wanted to share with you guys what my favorites snacks are, for the time being. I just bought some string cheese (colby jack). I tried to eat it like string cheese (when I was a kid) and it didn't work. So, I just took bites. It still tasted good, though.

And, I think I will always be into bananas and pb, but this time, i added a little chocolate to the mix. It was almost a banana split, minus the ice cream. I could eat this at every meal, for the rest of my life! I just have to keep telling myself that I have self control. I do, really.

These snacks really put a happy smile on my face. Especially after spending 5 hours in the gym over the last 24 hours.

This morning, I went to the gym for workout 1 of 2 today. I ran a nice and easy (and pain free) 6 miles. Once I finished, I worked on my legs. I found that if I don't cross train like a mad woman, I get injured. For the first 1/2 marathon, I had a knee injury, I corrected that with some cross training. The second 1/2, I had hip pain, once again, corrected with more cross training. And, this 1/2, I had/have heel pain, which I'm correcting with mostly stretching. All of this defiantly keeps me healthy and mostly injury-free.

What are your favorite snacks and a huge workout (beside chocolate milk)?

Full Body

The workout was good today! The only bummer thing that happened was that my legs felt like they were made of lead. They didn't want to leave the ground. I only ran 1.5 miles. I think my body is taking some time to get us to this new training schedule. I'm not only trying to make myself faster, but buffer, too. I takes a lot out of my body. I've noticed that I'm back to falling asleep by 9:30 and having trouble getting up to go to work (it's all worth it!).

After the pitiful run, I was able to successfully complete 30 minutes on the elliptical. It was more difficult than the stairs from the other day. I just think that's because this is towards the end of my training week and my body is more tired towards the end. I don't blame it. It will be awesome when I notice that it's not as tired. That will be a great day!

Once again, more weights (here's where I get buff): 20 minutes on the legs, 20 minutes on the arms and 20 minutes on the core. I will have a great bikini body very soon!

All I was craving when I got home today was a huge salad. So, that's what I made. It had spring mixed greens, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, black olives, celery and green pepper. It really hit the spot.

Since I couldn't stand the salt on me anymore, I hopped in the shower. Next on the list was to eat some PB (my favorite). I had 2/3 of a banana in the fridge that was going to be bad soon, so I split that in half and sandwiched PB inside and put some homemade granola on the sides. It was so tasty!!

This was the perfect after workout/sweat session snack I could have! It's time to catch up on some shows and then off to bed. I am so tired, it burns to hold my eyes open. I'm tired at work (the most), tired when I get to the gym and wide awake during my entire workout and looking for more ways to torture my body. When I get home and out of the shower, I'm tired again. That's just the way it goes!
