So it was really odd waking up without an alarm. I was able to sleep until about 10 this morning (sorry for the late post). I feels nice to wake up on my own and without that evil sound beeping in my ear until I snooze it.
Last night, I laid out all my race day necessities. I have my sports bra, tank, raceready shorts, GU chomps, water bottle, Garmin, mp3, socks and shoes. I'm bringing my compression socks and I will wear those on the drive home.
I am doing well, just a little nervous about the heat. It's suppose to be about 87 later today. Right now, there's a little breeze, so I'm hoping that will follow me into Davis. Jason is fixing me some pancakes right now and I'll drink 1 cup of coffee (like normal), I'm thinking about a tuna sandwich or PB&J for lunch, then a light snack of something I haven't thought of before we leave. As soon as I finish my coffee, I will be slugging down a lot of water, but will stop maybe about 4.
Any recommendations for me today?
I leave the house in about 7 hours and the race starts in 8. Wish me good luck!
