Best Appointment Yet!

I got up bright and early with the hubs (he had to work while I took a vacation day). I ran some errands and headed to my dr. appointment. I was nervous of the results, but was looking forward to getting healed. The dr. (a sports specialist) took both legs (since I do have issues with both knees) and did some odd movements and kept asking if the movements were causing me any pain. They never did. She said that was great news. I explained when I did have problems and what I was doing and for how long.

The prescription was to work out more. I couldn't believe it! Look at my happy smile when I heard the news!

She gave me these pamphlets and told me to work out my quads and get them stronger, then I shouldn't have any more problems.

She also gave me a stronger does of ibuprofen to take 3 times a day. She told me that my knee cap moves around too much, so that's what's causing my pain. Once I strengthen my quads, they will be strong enough to keep them in place. I was so happy when I heard that I have to work out more. I asked if I could continue my spin class and the elliptical I was doing. The answer was yes!! She even told me that I could continue running and just stop when I felt like my knee couldn't take it any more. You don't even know how happy I am right now!
We just got back from hubs sister's place. She invited us over for dinner and a late x-mas. She fixed us some awesome enchiladas, rice and beans. We even had cherry pie for dessert. We planned Taboo (such a great game if you haven't played it) and had a great time. Too bad they live so far away. I am exhausted right now (I've been up for about 20 hours, which is waaay too long for me) and it's time for bed.
