Last night, I took it easy on my knee. I tried to stay off of it as much as possible. I've been icing it and keeping it elevated. It's just so hard, because it's so cold outside and the ice makes me freezing. When I ice, I'm bundled in so many layers (except my leg) and I have a blanket on too. I get cold so easy. Oh well, I want to get better and will do anything it takes. I'm even taking NSAIDs (I never take pills).
Tonight, the hubs helped me make dinner. We had BBQ chicken (from a chicken I cooked in the crock pot over the weekend), mashed potatoes and green beans.
I eat some sweets at night. It seems when I can't run, I don't care as much about what I eat. When I'm running, I'm a lot more careful about what I put in my body. Strange, I know. If you read my blog, you can tell that I'm anything but normal.
We'll see how my knee and foot hold up for my next 5k (at least I hope it's only a 5k) this Saturday. If I feel the same as I do now (which is ok), I will see how far I can run on the treadmill on Monday (next week). I hope I can at least get a few miles in here and there. I can't wait to get running again. I know I'll have to start at a lower mileage than I was, but at least it will be something!
