Getting Ready

This will be a quick post because I have to get ready to pack. We're going to Yosemite tomorrow morning. We are tent camping (the only way to go).

Don't worry, I have lots of fun posts for you guys to read. The best one is on Friday. You better keep reading while I am gone. On Saturday, there will be a lot of pretty pictures to look at.

Right now, I'm making brownies to take with us to snack on. It's not suppose to be so warm (upper 50's) there, so they shouldn't melt.

This will be my first time going to Yosemite. Has anyone else been there? I hear there are a ton of waterfalls and so much hiking, I won't know where to start. If I haven't mentioned if, Jason and I love to hike, especially to waterfalls. I can't wait! I hope I can sleep tonight. When I get too excited about something, I can't sleep and I get really impatient.

What was your best (and least expensive at the same time) vacation? I have a feeling this will be one of the best and least expensive trips we take (so far).

  1. I'm not even sure it can be classified as a "vacation" because we never left our town, but anyways...

I was home on summer break and some of my best friends spontaneously decided we were going to go camping on what we call "Boy Scout Island." It is an island created by a nearby river that the boy scouts built lean-tos on for camping and 4 of the 6 of us were boy scouts.

We packed up some food, sleeping bags, clothes, a couple canoes, and a rowboat and drove down to the river. We launched into the river, made camp on the island and had an absolute BLAST!

It only cost us one night of food and 5 miles worth of gas.

    I LOVE outdoor camping!

  3. Oh, I am so jealous!
My hubby and I both love camping/hiking too, but still haven't gotten the chance to go together since we got married!
We are going to have our "fancy" wedding once we are stateside again (had to have our legal wedding in a courthouse thanks to orders to Korea), and our honeymoon is probably going to be to somewhere in Arizona or maybe Colorado so that we can spend the first 5 days or so hiking and camping, then spend the last two nights in a nice resort. :D
