Baking Time

Yep, I'm at it again! I love to bake. But, before I started to bake, Jason made breakfast. I love his scrambled eggs. They are so good!

Once he finished in the kitchen, I got right in there. I had a few things I've been wanting to bake for some time now. I couldn't wait. First on my list was my favorite chocolate chips cookies. I love these. There are so thin and crispy. The perfect cookie!

Next was lemon bars. I've never had these, but they sounded so good. With this recipe, it was so easy to make. It took no time at all! Jason said these actually taste like what they're suppose to. I get so excited when things turn out!

Tomorrow, I head back to the gym. I just wanted to give my knee another day off to get back to normal. With this training session (for my July half), I will have buff quads, and will not have any knee problems. That is my mission!

After your first major race (if it's a 5k, half or full or a tri), what would you change from your training (would you add more speed, more xtraining)? I will be adding some more speed here and there.

  1. After my 1st major race I realized I needed to add more speed training and tempo runs for me. At least once a week.

From one training cycle to the next, I usually like to gradually increase both my mileage and the intensity oy my workouts.

  8. Oh my gosh, I love lemon bars! I've never made them from scratch. I bet they are delish! After my first race, I'd added more hills and speed work. It really seemed to help.

I would love to come to CA! Or anywhere warm. This weather here is killing me! I'll be okay though :)
