Unplanned

I had 4 miles on the plan for today. My legs were feeling pretty good, so I knew that his was going to happen. No problem. 4 miles came and went, and I noticed a larger gentleman getting on the treadmill next to me. For the rest of my time, he was there dragging his feet. If you can imagine a person dragging their feet on a treadmill next to you for 3 1/2 miles. It's pretty loud and I couldn't turn my headphones up loud enough to drowned him out. It was pretty annoying. I guess not annoying enough to get me off the treadmill. 77 minutes after I started, I completed 7 1/2 miles. This is where I was before I got injured! I'm back on track and feeling great!

There was absolutely no pain with today's run. My legs actually begged for more, but I didn't want to over do it and get re-injured. Tomorrow is another day with more miles ahead of me. I can't wait!

When I was leaving the gym, they were handing out free mini boxes of Wheaties. This box has some granola or something in it. It looks interesting, but not all that great for you. It has a lot of artificial flavoring, BHT (preservative) and ton other stuff. I may still eat it, or give it to hubs.

This small box has over 250 calories in it. This will be had after a long run. Well, long story short (not really), I'm glad I got my long run out of the way for the week and I am feeling great! Let's see how I feel tomorrow when I try to run 3 miles.

By the way, the pot pie from yesterday was the best I've ever had (home made that is). Great recipe. You definitely have to try it.

Have you ever tried this new type of Wheaties?
