Runs & Sprints

Last night's dinner was pretty good and simple. Remember, I was super tired! I had already cooked a whole chicken, de-boned it, froze it and now thawed some of it. I took some of that chicken, and over the stove top, I mixed in some bbq sauce until heated through. Then, I poured some of that sauce on a whole wheat tortilla, some greens and the chicken. That was it. I think it took about 5 minutes for everything to be ready.

Cookies are in every dessert plan this week, just in moderation.

Last night, I took about a 2.5 hour nap, watch the rest of a horrible movie (The Ruins) and went back to bed for the night. I was really tired. It looks like Jason was tired, too (or he's finally sick of me taking random photos of us).

Tonight, I had 6 mile run, elliptical, abs, arms, and legs on the schedule. I ended up running a 3 mile warm up followed up with 3 mile sprints. Afterwards, I headed over to my new love...the stairs. I know, it sounds weird, but I love the stairs (and they finally love me). Lastly for the night, I worked my abs (20 minutes), weights with my arms (another 20 minutes) and legs (the last 20 minutes). I loved every second of this 2 1/2 hour workout! Sweat poured off my body and I felt every ounce.

  1. That's a seriously impressive workout.

I tried to use the stairs today at the gym... but I think I must be stupid, because I just couldn't get into any sort of rhythm, and since I still have some "gym anxiety" (basically, I'm 100% sure that anytime I look ridiculous, people will see), I just stopped and got on the elliptical. lol
