Working the Lungs

I've been wanting to go to the gym, before work. Which means a 4 am wake up call. I wasn't up for it last week, so this week it was. I haven't ran for quit some time. I knew it was going to be tough. My goal for this week is to get up early today and Thursday to head to the gym just to run. On Saturday, I'll run some errands (in my car), before sun rise, then go for an outdoor run directly after (not even uploading the groceries).

It was really tough, but it was pretty enjoyable. I loved every minute of lung torture. My legs were really happy to get out and run, like the good old days (aka 2 months ago).

You do have to excuse the mess behind me in all these future pictures. We are in progress with the house, and it will be a work in progress for some time. For the people who have asked, the main thing we are doing, right now, is painting.

We are getting some work done in the house, so we don't have heat, right now. So, I slept in my running clothes (clean). So, when I got out of bed, I didn' have to put on freezing cold clothes on. It worked out pretty good and I actually woke up 1 minute before my alarm went off. Everything worked great! I'm going to try this on Thursday and Saturday, too!

How have your 2012 workout goals been going? Any winter races?

  1. I love waking up right before the alarm goes off! You know the day is going to go well for you at that point.

Too bad to hear about the heat, but I'm sure it'll be worth it when all is said and done.
